Charity Wristbands

Charity Wristbands

Charity wristbands are one of the most popular ways to raise money. Usually, the yellow color is representative for creating awareness of cancer. This cause was mainly applied by Lance Armstrong when he released the yellow wristbands right after beating cancer. This way, he wanted to support people affected by cancer with his foundation. His foundation focuses on developing cancer research, advocacy, and data collection. The yellow wristband “Livestrong” was the first to promote organizations and foundations, and it encouraged the utilization of these sorts of bracelets to support similar causes. Other yellow wristbands are made to support the US troops, blue to support anti-bullying, anti-Bush reelection, tsunami aid and prostate cancer. Pink wristbands are meant to support breast cancer, red wristbands for hearth disease, anti-tobacco and HIV support. Violet bracelets for cystic fibrosis, lupus, domestic violence; Grey wristbands to support patients of diabetes and brain cancer, the black & white wristband to stop racism in football, green ones for ecology, leukemia, and donation of organs, golden bracelets for childhood cancer.

The white bracelets work as a symbol of the fight against poverty. The white wristbands were released in 2005 to support the fight to finish poverty. These white bands are simple and flexible so that they can be used by everyone in the world. Rainbow wristbands were used for religious harmony. These sorts of wristbands have fourteen white balls with a pearl in the middle of some symbolic heaven knots. These bracelets have been worn by the Pope and the Dalai Lama. In black and white bracelets were from some soccer players like Ronaldinho and Thierry Henry wore black and white bracelets to support the campaign against racism in sports.
Some sportsmen like Frank Lampard and Rio Ferdinand started to use blue color wristbands as part of an anti-bullying campaign. That campaign was developed by Radio one station, so that it could happen with the government’s anti bullying week in November. These silicone wristbands were made to raise awareness for the fight against discrimination. These wristbands simply had a two-word message “beat bullying”.

According to the Kabbalah Center, the red bracelets were meant to protect their users of the evil eye, which comes from some bad people’s glances. It was designed by famous women such as Madonna, Victoria Beckham and Britney Spears.

Moreover, charity wristbands are also attractive to the general public. These bands must be disseminated by the media with the help of some important celebrities. Awareness and support for a cause is very important if you feel affection to them.

Lance Armstrong, you gotta love that man. He was inspirational to my daughter when she was battling cancer and, even though she lost her fight, I will forever appreciate the hope he gave to her. Go to laf.org and you will be directed to his store. The bracelets cost only a dollar and all the money goes toward finding a cure. Good luck!
